Blood and Hygiene rules!!

Due to the large numbers we are now seeing in our classes, we ask that you are extra courteous with management of your cuts and tears. A couple of areas that we are prone to blood and tears are: SHINS – Deadlifts and Sumo Deadlift High Pull, Cleans and Snatch ect. HANDS – Pull ups, Muscle Ups, Toes 2 Bar, Knees 2 Elbows anything griping. CUTS FROM OUTSIDE CROSSFIT -If you play sport and you graze your knee, elbow, or hands the scabs can come off easy.

We can not tolerate blood on our equipment. If you bleed or get a bad tear causing it to bleed during a WOD you will be asked to clean up 1st the piece of equipment that you have bleed on and 2nd yourself. You then need to prove to the trainer that your first aid attempt will prevent it from happening again. If you think this is a harsh rule there are things you can do to stop bleeding and tears from happening.

SHINS: Football or knee high socks along with strapping tape down the shin will help prevent your shins from bleeding.

HANDS: Taping the hands up will help in avoiding nasty hand tears. The trainers can show you how to tape.

So by spending 5 mins before the workout, it can save you a lot of frustration (when we make you clean it up) during the workout. We have also started supplying alcohol wipes to wipe down bars after use.

We have brought these rules into effect immediately, so please be prepared for the session.
